Soludo condemns kidnapping of Anambra lawmaker, expresses worry over attacks

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has condemned the abduction of a member representing the Aguata Constituency II at the State House of Assembly, Okechukwu Okoye.

The governor made this known in a press statement signed and made available to journalists in Awka, on Monday, by the his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

While condemning the kidnapping of Okoye’s Campaign Director, Cyril Chiegboka, Soludo expressed deep worry over the spate of attacks carried out across the state between Sunday and Monday.

Both men were kidnapped on Sunday while returning from a function.

The governor, therefore, called for their immediate release.
